well I think this is how this game is going to be. there are ALOT of mw2 kiddies and in general noob gamers coming to this game. alot of people just have no idea how to play this game and they'll never learn. just have to gather up a bunch of people in the mumble server and all get on the same team. where you can actually have teamwork haha.

keep in mind not everyone has the repair tool yet, likewise not all medics have medpack or defib, and not all assust have ammo box

if you stick with one class exclusively youll get their good stuff pretty quick im nearly a specialist grade 3 and i got the medics T88 LMG, his medkit, the paddles (which is funny as hell to kill with by the way) medkit range + and medkit heal rate + ,if you unlock your shit quick besure to maximize the usage of it cause for these first few weeks it can tip the battle into your teams favor

nope, you're just Homfry.
you can change that clan tag anytime you log into EA Servers.
the way we have that clan tag going is capital i Ex capital i --> IExI
it just looks different in game because the I doesnt have those 4 lilttle extensions coming off of it.

what problems you having?

basically when I try to run it is actually takes 5 minutes for it to actually open. Like really 5 minutes. While it is opening it is freezing my mouse and stoping my audio etc.

Then when I am in the game the menus will freeze if I click particular buttons and stay that way for a few seconds. However if I enter single player campain the game runs fine no lag no problem until I try to get to a menu or navigate servers and such for multipler.

Specs.

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 2.80 GHz 2.79 GHz
2 Gigs ram
32 bit vista with service pack 2.

ATI 4800 series 512 MB GDDR3
directX 11

basic menu manipulation shouldn't be that intense.

u should be fine homfry, when u search for servers hit cancel right away, then go on the right where the filters are. Click Conquest, Not Full, PunkBuster. That should lower the amount of servers its looking for. I have a e8400 and my friend has the same processor u have in a Dell computer with a worse graphics card and his works. U gotta be patient i guess

Does he have the same problem with opening lag. Also for example if I were to search for a server by name I would click the box and it would lag for like 5 seconds maybe 10 and then I could type and when I hit enter then it would wait another 5 seconds.

The looking for server stuff takes a while but there is also just horrible lag in all of the menu for some reason.

Also everyone has to add me to their friends list because it is going to take me days to add everyone else :)

I haven't had problems with the opening lag, but I still do have issues with the server browser. That's why I only join games by following people in my friends' list. But basically the strat is what cosmic said, when you search, just hit cancel right away, apply some good filters to narrow down the search and try again. EA Servers are being worked on still since there are 400% more ppl playing than EA/DICE anticipated. It should all be worked out soon.

Also, I didn't know the ati4800 cards had dx11? did you set the dxlevel in settings.ini (in Documents>BFBC2) to 11? set it to 'auto' if you did. also, 2GB of ram on vista is rough. Vista itself requires 2GB so there isn't much left over for BC2 to run. So that could be why you are having problems launching the game.

I'd also suggest (once you actually get into BC2) to go into the settings and put it all to fairly low graphical settings and turn down your resolution because BC2 is a heavy GPU-based game.

if all else fails, delete the BC2 game content (through the steam games window) and redownload/install it. you might have just downloaded some files that went corrupt from internet dying out or something (weird things happen sometimes).

hes using a graphics card from ages ago like a very old ATI card, its got some wierd number on it like 200 or something. His game works though, takes a while for searching, but his loading is not like what u say urs is, it loads with no hiccups

For sound I am using internal sound. Unfortunately that is actually all I have.

The graphics aren't the problem because once I am in the game (like playing and shoot stuff) it works fine no hiccups.

It could be the ram. However I was watching it and I don't think it ever went above 80%. However it is hard to tell with everything freezing and locking up for long periods of time. So this guy may be the culprit.

After 3 days of messing around with this unplayable game. I finally got it to work flawlessly.

I sure hope so. otherwise everyone is going to have to have certain people added to their lists so everyone could follow someone to a server we are all in. :D
