guess who is going to be an owner of a six-core i7 when it releases :D (or i9 if that comes out first haha)
who knows, maybe I'll just go directly to the eight-core version :D muahahhaha

got stuck with the quad-core PC and have been waiting for a really good reason to upgrade my stuff to i7. this seems like a good one :D
and top that off with nvidia's gtx300 cards releasing over the next few months too....deliciousssssss gaming perfection

These 6-core CPUs are going to be the new "Extremes" essentially. AKA $1k. You're not "stuck" with a quad. You aren't limited by your core count in games. All you need is higher clocks and better architecture. (You specific, btw) (2-4 cores is the gaming sweet spot right now) You should spend that $1k on XFire HD 5870s (More like $760) If you want gaming FURY.
