I'm sorry, but I will never buy a game like this.

"Perhaps the most controversial element of Ubisoft's Online Services Platform system is that gamers will be required to be connected to the Internet during their entire play session. The enabled-Internet requirement is necessary across all game modes, including single-player and multiplayer options. If players lose their connection during a session, the game will pause and resume once the Internet is restored. Players will also be required to sign up for an account on Ubi.com"

its their effort to stop pirating, but u can just use Hamachi and make a closed internet connection

that doesn't sound.........right
I've heard of games making you go online just on your first install to make sure you have a legit copy then never bug you again....but ALL the time in EVERY gameplay session. this is a bigger blow to PC gaming than no dedicated servers like MW2 did....

I'm still going to get around that "requirement". mark my words. I will NEVER follow those stupid rules. the more they work up this thing, the more the game will be hacked. pirates look for things like this to challenge them and show the game devs that the hackers can't be stopped. this game WILL be massively torrented now for that sole reason.

for sure, they will just release a RELOADED version of it like they do for every game, and u wont be able to play online except in some cases like Borderlands, but who cares its Assassins Creed

I don't see how thats possible, if you are not connected to their server it will pause the game. this is the worst thing they can do, they also said they were planning it for furture games. I will never buy a game with this much DRM. It will be cracked, as it always is. The problem with this is that pirates will be able to enjoy the game off and online as they always do while normal users will be affected again. They only screw over the good guys and this will force others to pirate the game. I myself, Will just not buy any of their games any more as there are far better games with less hassle.

I'm in the Settlers 7 Beta and that game works the same way. I alt-tabbed out, saw the little launcher window, and decided, "Hey, I don't need that open anymore" so I closed it out. When I tabbed back into S7, the game was paused with a message like, "Unable to connect to internet" and there was no way to do anything about it aside from press Alt-F4 and lose my progress. :(

Which is why I will never buy a game with that, there are similar enough games to enjoy with out it. I haven't looked at Settlers 7 but if its anything like civilization, I'll just stick to civilization

I think your getting worked over nothing Jasin, dude they do this to protect you the non-pirating gamer. now i have pirated games but to only see if the game is actually worth buying and then i go buy the game if i really like it. there are problems with many DRM content like when Microsoft did it for there music store the music store in some cases was easy to crack and so many people did it and that's why Microsoft did that.
It was to protect music and properties of musicians but in terms of games they wont because if they do too much protection they will do what people fear all along make you pay extra to show a texture. I know that sounds stupid but It wouldn't surprise me if they did do that.

I don't know just had a thought a felt someone should say it but i really do think your over reacting dude. But some game i blindly buy because i liked the others Call of Duty series I bought blindly because i liked the war like style of a game and seeing things through the eyes of people who where actually there doing that. and a few other titles but yeah in a way i do understand where your coming from. anyway im buying it because i liked the first one and so on and so forth . though i myself hate people who pirate games yes myself included and everyone else who does it my question to those who don't like what some will do to make a game pirate proof why complain if it keeps the piraters away for a short while? Oh well just a thought dude.

an update to the cracked drm from ubisoft trying to claim the drm isn't cracked :http://kotaku.com/5485502/ubisoft-sinks-drm-piracy-claims

here's something a commenter wrote that I just love! ahha

commenter: "This is priceless.

ubisoft: "B-b-b-but you're missing a part of the game, it's not complete!"

commenter: "Yeah, exactly it's missing all the shitty DRM parts."

commenter: First they try to deny that their is a pirated version, but then try to conclude that the pirate version isn't the full game. So pathetic."

Umm wasnt the first one for pc a terrible port? Why would anyone want the second one for pc. I'd just get the console one if you have 360 or ps3.
