I agree the movie had some cliches to it. But on whole I rather loved the movie.

Most movies now days have some plot in line with another....don't even get me started on Saw or some of the other horrid shit people love. This little idea can be repeated on every romantic comedy, most cop drama's, action flicks...the list goes on.

the special effects are the only redeeming factor. If he had played down the whole africa thing....it would've been a good all around movie.

It wasn't super-innovative in terms of story structure. However, it was super-innovative in terms of use of 3d and general AMAZINGNESS. Movie of the Year. 3D IMAX of the forever.

i didn't see it but from what i heard i doubt that it's anywhere close to "movie of the year"

We were going to go see Sherlock when i was out for Christmas.

Either it was me, or the previews did it absolutely no justice, because from the clip i was shown, the movie looked horrible and I honestly would have likely stayed home rather than have someone pay for me to go see it.

Luckily we saw Avatar instead.

I thought the special effects in Avatar were awesome, but that's all I thought it was. I thought the story was a complete guy movie full of special effects, futuristic weapons, and explosions. But the story was honestly kind of cheesy, and I felt kind of awkward in the theater.
