New icon beside class icon? Update related?

I found this by my name after the update. I'm guessing it must be related to an upcoming update. It looks like a guy in water? I have no idea what this means. After a while it popped up on a player on the opposite team, and he said he didn't see either of them. Any ideas?

okay. so here's the deal.
it's not an update. it goes along with what I had in my thread.
valve has already had things within the game that haven't been brought to light yet. the new voices you hear by the announcer have been added to the game but only as of yesterday have the things that trigger the voices have been activated. the new voices you hear are based on steam friends. when you do certain things to/with/for/against your friends, you will hear certain voices. the icons are the same thing. they are based on friends.

there are screenshots of robin walkers backpack with three '?' items for both soldier and demoman. I believe that is enough evidence.

we'll find out soon enough. can't be long before someone uncovers the meaning with the icons and sounds. notice how that icon only showed up on sung's space. sung is jason's only steam friend in there. if we knew what sung was playing it could help tell us if this really is just a demo/soldier thing.

I'm pretty sure it has SOMETHING to do with your friend's avatar - especially looking at all the other pix of these icons.

Well, the other person I saw with the identical icon isn't on my friends list.
