Didn't know where to post this, clanmate found this info which you might find interesting...

The guys over at http://www.modernwarfail2.com/ claim to have found the DLC stuff on the PC version of the game which according to them consists of 3 new game modes, new maps and new kill streaks. They give detailed instructions on how to unlock them. Has anyone tried this? Here is the whole posting:

That?s right, there?s a bunch of things that were either hidden or removed among them 3 game types and a bunch of maps, killstreak rewards and other stuff. This was a post on the official IW forums (post has already been deleted) on how to access these 3 hidden gametypes:

Step 1: Download and activate the console hack. More information about that can be found here:

Step 2: Start a private match, preferably using the console.

Step 3: Once in the game, enter one of the following commands (without the quotes):
?/set g_gametype gtnw?
?/set g_gametype oneflag?
?/set g_gametype vip?

Step 4: Try to play.

If it isn?t working, try this: after entering the command to change the gametype, enter the command /map_restart

The first gametype ? ?gtnw? ? is Global Thermonuclear War. To play, simply capture the objective: a nuclear bomb. When captured, the bomb detonates?
The second gametype ? ?oneflag? ? is One Flag CTF. To play, capture the flag in the middle and bring it back to your base.
The third gametype ? ?vip? ? is VIP. To play, defend the VIP. Or, if you?re on the other team, kill the VIP.

These gametypes were only tested on Afghan and Favela. They may not work for all maps.?

So it seems we have finally identified the DLC that Activision/IW wanted to pimp to us. It has been right in the game all along.

*take note than unlike damage, RoF value have been hand made and have a human error inaccuracy...so they might be a little off. But is is yet pretty representative and better than nothings.

For those who don't understand those damage. Every player have 100 health (30 in hardcore), those are the max/min damage of the weapon. basically weapon do max damage up to a certain range, then they "degrade" to min damage over a certain range and from there to infinite do min damage. Cannot really test weapon range, however (well it is possible but extremely hard and pain in the ass)

Also take note stopping power add 1.4 to bullet damage and than FMJ does not increase damage (it only reduce damage penalty when using penetration)

I have it for xbox but I downloaded the "free" version on PC to try and hack my way into the goods. got it working without steam so I needed the dedicated servers to be able to play online and see what goodies infinity ward packed into their game

Makes me wonder if IW wil end up giving the DLC for free or if they will still charge since it seems to already be in the game... I can already see the whole community shitting on them if they do charge.

well they will charge because more people don't know how to expose the hidden content in the game. just kinda gay how they will consider it DLC when we ALREADY have it :D lol just paying them to activate it...pffft, I don't think so. but I'm gonna buy the DLC for xbox since that's where I do all of my real online multiplayer gaming for MW2 anyway

that's awesome stuff. I'm still missing a few challenges on xbox version, SOOO tempted just to set up a private match with a friend to just finish them off :D

This one match. the team i was on was winning by a good 2000 points in TDM so i got my emergency airdrop and threw it into the middle of wasteland right to the other team. Unsuspecting to them we only needed 3 kills when this happened. The other team stood right under where i dropped it and the boxes landed on 3 of the emem team mates. it was funny!

I was watching my brother play just the other day when he called in a care package and then maybe 5 seconds later called in an emergency airdrop, one of his teammates ran over to try and steal the care package that just dropped but just as he was going to snake it, the emergency airdrop packages landed right on him and killed him. so as the guy respawned and ran over to try and take one of the emergency airdrop packages, my bro called in another care package which he still had stored and that care package KILLED THAT TEAMMATE AGAIN. i absolutely lost it when he died the 2nd time. the most insanely unlucky guy on the planet ahahahhaha
