I'm getting it for the PS3, because that's where I got MW1, and a few close friends of mine are getting it for the PS3 to play with.

Aside from that...WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I'm trembling in excitement...it's only 3-4 days away, depending on how you look at it.

Anybody have plans on your preferred style of gameplay? I'm going to be the sneaky, knife-throwing, backstabbing, sniping rogue. Stealth is my style.

I think I'm a bit too excited for my own good...

Anyways, who cares? Let's discuss everything we can about this game!

if im not mistaken, if u get the ultimate edition or whatever its called, u get the Original Call of Duty for PS3 as well, i read that somewhere. Um im not gonna buy the game cuz this is how i do things with call of duties.

I bought Call of Duty, the original for PC, this was the best one they released

i bought United Offensive, its expansion for PC, u get tanks and jeeps pretty sweet

I bought Call of Duty 2, PC, new graphics exciting

I bought Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, PC, a little better graphics than Call of Duty and has new graphics

Did not buy CODWaW, it is a crappier version of COD2
will not buy Call of Duty 4 MWF2 cuz its the same game as COD4

i dunno game companies are just shitting out new games cuz they know people will buy them. CODWaW came into development before COD4 was released, same thing with the Left 4 Dead 2 shit, they just keep putting out new games when they dont have 2 pisses me off

Just pre-ordered MW2 on amazon with release-day delivery. Went with the ps3 version since they raped the PC version with no dedicated servers, no mods, no console, and only 9v9. Hopefully I dont get raped by little kiddies cuz I havent done much FPS on gamepads.

got mine from gamestop *hardened edition for xbox360 (preordered in early June)

been counting the days ever since...

my life is going to completely be ruled by MW2 from tuesday on. this is the game I've been waiting for 2 years. I can't stop watching live streams of gameplay, I'm just so addicted.

game of the year, will outsell every game coming out this xmas and Q1&2 next year COMBINED.

everything about this game rocks. (cept for no dedi servers for PC - but I don't play this game on PC, just not as fun because most server admins/owners for MW1 were just dickheads)

I'm getting hardened edition for PS3.

I've also watched the same videos hundreds of times now. It is addicting. I want to get this game, because it's an improvement. I truly believe they listened to their fans and fixed whatever problems they could and whatnot.

single player will EASILY be hacked haha. getting steam games to execute without steam running is pathetically easy. as soon as you try to connect online....your dead

ya I was looking around for the PC single player too, not sure what the issue is since you can buy the game standalone install for PC too....

I guess i'm one of the few that just can't get into games that are not like TF2 CS DOD etc
I just hate playing games without a bunch of friends. When i try to get into co-op people usually don't want to let me learn the game first. What is the multiplayer like i am interested to know tho I have heard no dedicated servers which is a red flag for me already.

well MW2 doesn't really appeal greatly to the hardcore PC fans because of the whole no dedicated servers things...essentially they are trying to mimic console gaming on a PC...this way infinity ward has control over everything that goes on. if you have ever played any kind of online multiplayer game on xbox360/ps3 there is this system that automatches you to the best available people online (so great ping, about same skill level, distance from you, etc...) so that is what happens online now too (like L4D). also the game size is limited to 9v9 max on PC too. the gameplay itself is perfect, the levels look/play amazing, everything has been touched up from MW1 and everything added is just amazing. if you can put aside the whole no dedi servers and matchmaking, then the game will be absolutely amazing for you. I play on xbox (have since MW1) so this whole PC thing doesn't bother me. There are LOTS of videos online of multiplayer action. The game has gotten some very impressive reviews and so far I haven't found anything I don't like about the game. It's set to smash all kinds of records so all the hype around this game is there for a reason. It's really that good.

people just love to hate because hating is the cool thing to do now apparently. they still buy the game, they still play it, secretly love it and then bash it to hell online to act all tough. people are all talk....pathetic.

Kaito imma add you to my list later tonight once i get home and some of the other guys. Brains i hink you should buy a PS3 so you can come kick ass with us... Use the "it reads Blu-ray" to justify the purchase.

Man I played vs a few lvl 30+ last night and jeez did i ever get destroyed... One dude gets an apache and starts gattling me and rockets (dunno if it was him on someone with an RPG) then one of his buddies takes out a harrier. Fantastic...

I hope your good Kaito cause i suck with a controller... to the point i'm thinking of buying a KB/Mouse adpater for the PC so i can play twitch style...

Anyhoo, if need info on things, like what teh fawk was up with the server, you can checkout fourzerotwo's blog. He's one of the game developpers from IW. I read stuff on his tweet about the issues last night.

had to of been lucky. I do that too when it's very close to the end of the match, I just throw a nade somewhere where someone might be hoping to pickup the final kill. doing that with a knife though, ahhaha insane

hate you guys didnt get it for pc. you guys should try this. surprisingly fun:

main: any AR with noob tube
secondary: pistol with tactical knife
perk1: marathon pro
perk2: light weight pro
perk3: commando pro

everything else doesnt matter. just sprint around and knife people, cant get close noob tube. very deadly and with the perk pros it makes traveling a lot easier.

for small area maps (like favela)
-p90 w/ red dot

for any map
-scar w/ red dot

for large open maps (like wasteland)
- intervention

then I have this for each main weapon
-glock18 w/ red dot
-frag&2flash
-scavenger pro/stopping power pro/steady aim pro/martydom

I also have a "clean out the sky" class where I bring the heavy hitters
-m240 w/ red dot
-stinger
-slight of hand pro/cold blooded pro/steady aim pro
*nothing in the sky stands a chance

I actually do swap in scavenger for that class on wide open area maps where there isn't much cover. these maps (like wasteland) always seem to have lots of shit in the air...and on open maps like that, it's a one sided land slide victory if a team can keep stuff up in the air
