Pirated it overnight, love playing it. Definitely wouldn't pay 50$ for it though, but i love playing it for free.

thepiratebay was down yesterday....hope it wasn't for good. I know it's supposed to come down because of that huge legal issues they had a few months ago in court but didn't think it would happen already.

I dunno I bought the game and would do it again. It's some of the most fun I've had with a game in a long time.

You're why pc gaming is failing no offense.

PC gaming isn't failing people lots of people don't like to pay for their games when they can get them free. PC gaming is only failing because game studios aren't trying hard enough to prevent people from pirating their games. See what IW just did with the PC version of COD:MW2...removing dedicated servers, integrating with Steam, etc. They are making it VERY hard for people to play this game without having a real copy of it. So you can't just download a cracked copy of the game and connect to servers that allow cracked versions of the game to play. Now if you want to play online, you HAVE to have a legit copy of the game through Steam. So you have all of Steam's DRM and VAC systems running along side the IW.net matchmaking services. Yes, IW admitted to spending alot more money developing IW.net and getting the online stuff up and going, but by doing this, they are showing other game studios how they can beat pirating issues. Sure you can probably still download a cracked version of the single player, but who cares. The majority of the people going to play this game IS for online multiplayer. Single player is only like 8-10hrs not potentially hundreds of hours of multiplayer. Game studios just have to follow in IW's footsteps and start to take pirating seriously instead of just running off to consoles where the game has to be dumbdown to fit the limitations of console gaming.

So breaking the game makes it harder to crack? No mods and dedicated servers, sounds pretty lame to me. Every company now goes too far in copy protection forcing people to either not buy the game or just steal it. Pc gaming is failing because people don't want to pay even though games are cheaper on Pc. A Pc game has to sell more copies than a console game to be considered a success but they sell less because of pirates.
Do you really think games like halo would have their records if they were pc only? Heck halo would have probably flopped.

your 'PC is failing theory' falls apart if you consider why only pirating on PC is an issue....if mod'ing your XBOX, PS, Nintendo system was already done for you then everyone would be pirating games for consoles as much as they pirate them for PC. Since games are cracked for you on PC, all you do is install them; like you would normally have to do anyway even if you bought the game legitly; so no added work is involved. Since modding your console is a bunch of tricky work (and if you get someone else to do it - it costs money), most people don't do it.
