I've been thinking about it for a year lol, this one is really old and has recently started spewing out random sounds sometimes when I just touch the cord, or adjust it. I haven't changed anything about it or my settings etc in so long, so it's gotta be just dieing right?
Some days it seems fine and some days people can't even hear me. I've tried everything to fix it.

I think you should pull the trigger. Lots of good options out there. Sounds like you got good mileage out of the ones you have now. Retire those and grab a new pair :)

Thats the problem, people are complaining. lol When it decides to act up it makes some pretty violent screeching sounds, at least when I test it by telling it to come out of my speakers. Other times it seems fine, thats the wierd part.

Ordered it :) Did some research, can't find anything better for that price. lol I found alot of crappier looking ones that are more expensive though. I went with the USB one because diferent sites claim that that jack one isn't as good with a crap sound card, which I have.

I've had a Creative 900 for 2 years or so...maybe more. And its incredible. Looks a lot like the fatality set...probably because its the same thing but with his brand on it. Was $20 or $30
Otherwise I have some earbuds that I wear and then attack a Zalman mic to. Great stuff. $11 for mic and whatever pair of headset you want.
I hope yours works out awesome.

I got a pair of these RAZER Carcharias (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153043). They are really nice and don't make your ears sore after long use.

4+ years on my sennheiser headset. I'm currently on my 2nd set, no complaints at all about them.

I have the fatality non-usb one, works pretty well I like it. Pretty sure the quality is good as I've never heard anyone complain about it. I use it for skype all the time too.
