Anyone else excited? I've been playing metroid games for as long as I can remember.

I'm not excited, this game looks like a huge disapointment ro me. Team Ninja isn't a very good dev, and why nintendo would pass this game on to them is beyond me. Autoaim in a platformer doesn't work. The first person scenes seem like welfare versions of prime :/
I could be wrong though and it'll turn out great, but I'm not holding my breath for this one.

Theres another game I think will flop. I'm normally someone who has high hopes for nintendo but those two games just seem so 3rd party-ish. Even they`re graphics are a big step in the wrong direction, looking worse than a GC game.

I care so little about graphics. I worry only about gameplay.

Yeah, but usually when a big company can't put out the money to get some decent graphics........ Like with zelda, I'd rather them do the old style and steal the last games graphics. Seems like they aren't even putting enough effort into trying, and Zelda is like one of their biggest franchises.
I haven't heard if Zelda is made by a third party, but it really looks like it. See I look at Metroid Prime like Mario rpg, good mario game made by square enix, whearas this new metroid looks like Mario 2, a platformer that failed in japan so they stuck mario in it, and resold it.
I look at graphics to determine effort put into a game, if a game looks worse than the game before it, it really makes me wonder how much effort is put into the game. It's not always the best way, but it usually works out for big companies like nintendo. Case in point, yoshi story for the n64, or mario kart for the wii (decent game but double dash was better in some key areas)

Ooooh DD. How so many ppl put you down for being a great game. Really people gave that game such low remarks which i didn't understand the two different charchters and holding more items worked so i don't know what the problem was. Then people gave mario kart wii really high remarks but i though it was boring because the world moved by so slow, i felt like the karts were only going 5-7 mph.
