To be honest, this started long before any of those faggy trends. This isn't just giant robots. The Mechwarrior stories are rather well detailed, good guys don't always win and more often then not, its the money. Its a world of massive amounts of political dealings as well as back room deals, organized crime, and patriotic stands. *Shrugs* And of course there is plenty of cold hard merc that fight for all side and just try to get though the end of the day. They write it well enough that quite honestly there isn't a clear good or bad guy most of the time as its true in the real world.

The stories usually hook me, the great action keeps me stuck to my chair. That said not everyone gets into those games. Which is why some people hail HALO as one of the best games of all time. Well I rank it as a pretty looking shooter that lacks much depth. ODST...don't get me started *gag*
