Seems like a 6 core should cost a little more but dang... $222.29

This sounds nice. It's great knowing I wouldn't have to get a new motherboard for this. I read a little about the turbo core thing, it sounds like it would be great for games that only support 1-2 cores. The turbo core runs at 3.3ghz which is right behind the 965 at 3.4 .
So, would someone be better off with this bad boy at $40 more than the 965? My guess is yes, simply because of newer technology being faster.

i'd like to see some benchmarks between this, some core i5s, some core i7s, and the 965 black edition

This processor isn't really "new" persay. It's the same technology that's in the 965 and such, except with 6 cores instead of 4 and the Turbo Core feature. So depending on what you're doing, it'll be either slightly behind the 965 in most games, or quite a bit ahead in multi-threaded applications like Photoshop or video editing.
Also, newegg has the 1055T for $209 + shipping. The 1090T BE is $309 + shipping as well.
If you want something completely new, gotta wait till next year for Bulldozer :)

1055 vs 965 comparisson..
No offense.. The 965 can be oc'd to an easy 4 Ghz and I know nothing about OC'ing this 1055... Unless it does the same % of oc it falls behind big time. Plus, it sucks in games.. The 1055 core is almost EQUAL (http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/147?vs=53)to my Q6600 (on stock clocks) when it's tested for games.. WTF...

The 1090T would be great fun to play with. I want to move away from my i7 860, but it hits 4.0Ghz with hyperthreading enabled... so strong...

Games don't usually use more than 2 cores, so you won't see a performance difference between the 1090T and the 965.
If the application/game is heavily multithreaded (video encoding, editing, Photoshop, and the like) the 1090T will blow the 965 away.
The 1055 stock clock is 2.8Ghz, with a TC of 3.2 or 3.3Ghz. Keep that in mind. The 1090T is 3.2Ghz with a TC of 3.6Ghz, and the 1090T can hit 4Ghz easily. My friend's running his 1090T at 3.8Ghz with room to spare.

No Duracell.. click link and see those comparisons.. It does not blow it away in multithreaded programs as those are tested hence my comment about the fact that without an equal OC capability it falls behind big time.

How can you not agree with concrete data? The results are clear and show that the 1055 are almost equal to a Q6600 (on stock!) for games... That to me shows that it's not the CPU I want to upgrade my Q6600. Whatever your pc is, in a comparision it doesn't differentiate.
If you got a system build that makes you happy with it YAY! for you, but these tests just show me the 1055 will not be my upgrade and to be honest not even considerable as the 'benefits' are almost minimum. When considering a 965 being so much cheaper and performing not that much less (on stock) and a Q6600 being close to equal on games, something must be considered wrong on the 1055 and it's performance.
To be clear, since my new mobo I feel like I got a new CPU.. it was clearly necked by it, as other parts fyi, so I can understand you feel your 1055 is like WHOOHOOO, but when compared the results make a less then whoohooo picture and THAT was what I was pointing out. For someone building pc's this information is relevant to know and showing that with less $$ more pc can be build.
